General workflow

  1. Connect Toolbox

    USB link on the bench.

  2. Set up general operation

Application mode, measurement types per port, periods, LoRaWAN join, alarms.

  3. Set up calibrations

Per port, after measurement types are chosen — only if needed.

  4. Verify

Use Toolbox calibration / debug tools; confirm uplinks and decoding on the LNS.

  5. After deployment

Use downlink only for changes listed in the downlink reference.

Firmware update (Toolbox)

Application firmware is upgraded only through Harvestree Toolbox over USB (built-in bootloader) — not via LoRaWAN. Separate from updating the Toolbox PC application itself.

  1. Open Firmware update

In Toolbox, with the device connected on USB.

  2. Pick a qualified image

Check Release notes; contact MOIZ or your supplier if unsure.

  3. Start firmware update

Confirm the prompt and wait until Toolbox reports success — do not disconnect USB or close the app.

  4. After reboot

Check reported FW version, review config / calibration if needed, and align the LNS decoder when MOIZ indicates a payload change.

These cannot be changed over LoRaWAN downlink (use Toolbox / USB): factory reset, LoRaWAN network settings (region, join credentials, radio network parameters), and port measurement types.

Toolbox

Keep Harvestree Toolbox aligned with the device firmware you run. New measurement modes or LoRaWAN regions may need a newer Toolbox — check Release notes (or MOIZ / your supplier) for the matching pair.
